The factory

Inside our mould factory in Humen, Dongguan

China’s Town of Mould, since 2003: a 2,520 m² plant where mold design, precision machining, polishing, injection molding, inspection and assembly happen in the same building. Nothing is subcontracted, so nothing in your schedule depends on another factory’s queue.

  • 36 mold-processing machines
  • 30 presses, 20T–300T
  • 2,520 m² under one roof
  • 100% in-house
Quick answer

CENTS Precision Manufacturing operates a 2,520 m² injection mold factory in Humen, Dongguan, China, founded in 2003. The plant has four workshops — mold machining, plastic injection molding, anti-dust moulding and assembly — equipped with 36 mold-processing machines (15 CNC centres, 3 Swiss GF slow-wire EDM machines, 5 Makino sinker EDMs, a Swiss Hexagon CMM, 5 millers, 7 grinders) and 30 injection molding machines from 20T to 300T. Mold work is held to ±0.01 mm, the inspection centre works at ±0.002–0.005 mm, and all mold machining and molding is done in-house.

Layout

Four workshops, one building

Work moves in one direction: design office, machining, assembly and finishing, trial, then molding or shipment. That layout is why a trial correction is a same-day action rather than a transport booking.

Workshop 01

Mold design and machining

10 mold design engineers working in 3D, plus a machine shop of 15 CNC centres, 3 slow-wire EDM machines, 5 sinker EDMs, 5 millers and 7 surface grinders. Cavity and core inserts, plates, slides, ejector systems and hot runner housings are all machined here.

Workshop 02

Plastic injection molding

30 injection molding machines from 20T to 300T running trial shots, bridge production and series orders — with material drying and handling on site. Because the tool shop is in the same building, a molding problem is a tool-shop problem the same day.

Molding capability

Workshop 03

Anti-dust moulding and finishing

A protected moulding area for parts that need a cleaner environment, plus hand polishing and texturing to SPI A1–D3, bead blasting and leather-grain finishes for cosmetic, optical and consumer parts.

Quality and finishes

Workshop 04

Inspection centre and assembly

A climate-controlled metrology room with a Swiss Hexagon 860 CMM (0.001 mm) and a Zeiss Contura machine, plus assembly and packing for snap-fit, ultrasonic welding and retail-ready shipments.

The equipment behind the tolerance

Machine accuracy decides mold quality long before the first trial shot. This is the core of the mold shop — the complete 12-line list with models, installation dates and positional accuracy is on the equipment page.

Of the 36 machines, 18 are imported high-accuracy units from Japan, Switzerland and Taiwan. Injection molding adds 30 presses from 20T to 300T in the same building.

Movement through the plant

How a tool travels from your 3D file to a packed case

Six controlled steps, each with a deliverable you receive in writing.

  1. Quote and DFM review

Your 3D data, resin and annual volume in; a mold price, cycle estimate, cavity layout and written DFM report out — typically in 1–2 business days.

  2. Mold design approval

Full 2D/3D mold drawings: parting line, gating, cooling, ejection, mechanisms, steel grades. No steel is cut before your sign-off.

  3. Machining

CNC, wire-cut, EDM, grinding and polishing sequenced inside our own plant, with a weekly progress report and photographs of your tool.

  4. T1 trial and measurement

The mold runs on our own press; you receive T1 samples, a CMM dimensional report and video of the tool running.

  5. Correction loop

Steel corrections, gating or cooling changes and finish tuning, re-sampled until the part matches the drawing and the cosmetic requirement.

  6. Shipment or production

Rust-protected, packed with its spare-part set and full documentation — or kept on our presses for series molding.

Visits, walk-throughs and progress you can see

Buyers are welcome to visit the plant in Humen, Dongguan. If travel is not practical, we run live video walk-throughs of the mold shop and the trial, and we photograph the tool at defined stages of machining and before packing.

Why CENTS

One factory. Full control.

Everything that decides whether a mold works — and how long it lasts — happens inside our building.

01

No outsourcing

Every mold component is machined on our own 36 machines. Your schedule never waits in another factory’s queue, and one team answers for the fit.

02

DFM before steel

You receive a written manufacturing review with the quotation — wall thickness, draft, undercuts, gating, cooling and tolerance realism — so problems are found on screen, not at trial.

03

Built for millions of shots

15+ years of lipstick-tube and cosmetic tube tooling for a European cosmetics brand: specified for 1,000,000 shots, validated at 5,000,000.
