IMD patterned small parts

Printed patterns — animal print, textile effects, gradients — molded into small plastic parts instead of applied afterwards.

  • Made in-house in Dongguan, China
  • Mold work to ±0.01 mm
  • 30 presses 20T–300T on site

Small injection molded shells with printed in-mold patterns, including an animal print design
Photographed in our plant in Humen, Dongguan

Patterns in the mold allow a product range to be refreshed without new tooling for each design: the same cavity runs a different film and produces a different look. That is what makes short fashion-driven runs viable.

The parts shown combine a decorative shell with a functional structure behind it. Cavity count, runner balance and the film placement mechanism are sized to your annual volume and part size, and we mold the parts on our own presses from 20T to 300T so the process is proven with the tool.

Typical applications

  • Consumer cases and shells
  • Promotional products
  • Fashion accessories
  • Small electronics covers
