Automotive moulded components

Functional automotive parts — clips, levers, brackets — molded to repeatable tolerances with documented material traceability.

  • Made in-house in Dongguan, China
  • Mold work to ±0.01 mm
  • 30 presses 20T–300T on site

Automotive components are bought on repeatability: the hundred-thousandth part has to assemble like the first. That puts the emphasis on stable process parameters, documented material batches and geometry that does not drift as the tool wears.

We design for wear with replaceable details where friction and abrasion concentrate, run the tool on our own presses, and keep the running-parameter sheet with the mold so the process is repeatable across shifts and, if needed, across factories.

Typical applications

  • Clips, levers and brackets
  • Interior functional parts
  • Under-bonnet components
  • Assembly aids and fasteners

Specification

What this class of tool is built to

Our standard specification for this type of tooling, confirmed line by line on the mold design approval sheet before machining starts.

Standard tooling specification — confirmed on the mold design approval sheet
Mold constructionTwo-plate, three-plate, hot runner, stack or family — specified per part
Cavity countSingle or multi-cavity, sized to annual volume, cycle time and press tonnage
Mold steelsP20, 718H, NAK80, S136, hardened H13 / SKD61 cores
Mold work tolerance±0.01 mm
Machine accuracyDown to 0.001 mm (Yasoda, OKUMA, GF, Makino)
RunnerCold runner, hot runner or valve gate
Surface finishSPI A1–D3, bead blast, leather grain or your texture
CoolingMachined circuits; baffles or bubblers where geometry requires
EjectionPins, sleeves, stripper plate, lifters, unscrewing or collapsible core
VerificationSwiss Hexagon CMM and Zeiss Contura; dimensional report at T1
Molding30 presses from 20T to 300T, in the same building
Documentation2D/3D drawings, steel and component certificates, parameter sheet, spare parts
Lead timeTypically 15–30 days of machining after design approval
Tool ownershipYours — the tool is designed to be transferable

Values above are our standard capability for this class of tool, not fixed figures for a specific project. Cavity count, steel grade, runner type and finish are agreed with you on the design approval sheet before any steel is cut.
