Black moulded router or set-top box case with a red trim detail and mesh panel
Photographed in our plant in Humen, Dongguan

A networking or set-top box case combines a cosmetic visible surface with functional ventilation, mounting features and a safe wall section for electronic components. Vent patterns, snap features and screw bosses are all tooling decisions.

We machine the vent arrays and snap details to ±0.01 mm and use balanced cooling so the long, flat visible surfaces stay flat — the defect you cannot hide on a widely distributed product. Flame-retardant and UV-stable grades are available when the application requires them.

Typical applications

  • Routers and network devices
  • Set-top boxes and media players
  • Power supply and adapter casings
  • Electronics enclosures

Cavity countSingle or multi-cavity, sized to annual volume, cycle time and press tonnage
Mold steelsP20, 718H, NAK80, S136, hardened H13 / SKD61 cores
Mold work tolerance±0.01 mm
Machine accuracyDown to 0.001 mm (Yasoda, OKUMA, GF, Makino)
RunnerCold runner, hot runner or valve gate
Surface finishSPI A1–D3, bead blast, leather grain or your texture
CoolingMachined circuits; baffles or bubblers where geometry requires
EjectionPins, sleeves, stripper plate, lifters, unscrewing or collapsible core
VerificationSwiss Hexagon CMM and Zeiss Contura; dimensional report at T1
Molding30 presses from 20T to 300T, in the same building
Documentation2D/3D drawings, steel and component certificates, parameter sheet, spare parts
Lead timeTypically 15–30 days of machining after design approval
Tool ownershipYours — the tool is designed to be transferable

Values above are our standard capability for this class of tool, not fixed figures for a specific project. Cavity count, steel grade, runner type and finish are agreed with you on the design approval sheet before any steel is cut.
