Lipstick cap injection mold in a green mold base with slides and polished core pins
Photographed in our plant in Humen, Dongguan

A lipstick cap is judged by feel: it has to snap on with the right resistance, close without wobble and keep a flawless surface after thousands of open-close cycles. That puts the tolerance on the fit between cap and tube rather than on the cap alone.

We have built cosmetic tube and cap tooling for a well-known European cosmetics brand for more than 15 years, on a specification of 1,000,000 shots — and validated the tools we built at 5,000,000 shots. Cavity finish, gating position, cooling symmetry and the fit stack-up with the mating tube are all agreed before the tool is cut.

Typical applications

  • Lipstick caps
  • Cosmetic closures and collars
  • Threaded and snap-fit caps
  • Decorative sleeves
